Bilingual Government Collection Specialist

Job Overview

CBE Companies seeks a motivated, bilingual professional to perform government debt collections. You will provide excellent customer service while adhering to state and federal debt‑collection laws.

Responsibilities
  • Handle 100–150 inbound and outbound calls each day in a call center or remote environment.
  • Deliver customer service with empathy and effectiveness.
  • Use the prescribed call flow to guide each interaction.
  • Locate and verify consumer contact information.
  • Implement client‑required changes promptly.
  • Review statistical reports to ensure productivity, schedule adherence, and quality targets are met.
  • Collaborate with co‑workers and management to identify growth opportunities and address improvement areas.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or another language) required.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful 3‑year residence.
  • Ability to work full time on four 8‑hour shifts per week (8:00a.m.–4:30p.m. or 10:30a.m.–7:00p.m.).
  • Background check and drug‑testing required.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly wage $20.00–$28.00.
  • Commission potential starting in the first month, in addition to base hourly pay.
  • Three weeks of paid training.
  • Location:

    Cedar Falls, Iowa (no relocation assistance).
