Job Description:
The Educational Talent Search Cedar Rapids program seeks applications for a temporary Tutor for the spring 2026 semester. This position provides tutoring services (virtual) to middle and high school students who attend six schools in the Cedar Rapids Community School District in the subject areas of Math, Science, English/Language Arts, Foreign Language and other areas based on student's needs. Work schedule will be 10-20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
* Must be a highly motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision, knowledgeable, open-minded, and friendly.
* Must have excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must possess leadership skills and be self-motivated.
* Must possess critical thinking/problem solving skills.
* Must be flexible, trustworthy, and have the physical ability to fully participate in all program activities.
* Must be accountable with a strong attendance record.
* Prefer an individual with experience working with youth of low-income and first-generation backgrounds and skill levels.
