Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's School of Music seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor of Viola, starting in August 2026. Responsibilities include teaching applied lessons in viola, weekly studio class, music theory class, and recruiting both music majors and non-majors into the music program.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in viola performance or closely related field, and successful college-level teaching experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in viola performance or closely related field (ABD will be considered), and at least three years of successful college-level teaching experience preferred.
