Position: EMT, Paramedic or LPN (PRN)

Job Overview

Medcor is hiring an EMT, Paramedic or LPN on a PRN basis (as‑needed) to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at an employer‑based occupational health clinic in Cedar Falls, IA. Clinic hours:
Monday 11:00am‑7:00pm and Tuesday‑Friday 10:00am‑8:00pm.

There are no guaranteed hours; we welcome anyone with availability for occasional shifts.

Responsibilities

The Onsite Health Technician collaborates with Medcor medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. Key duties include patient care, ongoing workers’ compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring, as well as working closely with outside medical providers.

  • Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings
  • Documentation of care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools
  • Case management
  • Medical charting
Required Qualifications
  • Valid licensure for the position you are applying for.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong computer and technology skills (cell phone, texting, fax, EMR software).
  • Ability to lift a 50‑lb emergency response bag.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive and outgoing personality.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond.
  • Passion for people and delivering high‑quality care.
  • Ability to have fun.
Preferred
  • Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
  • Relevant occupational health experience.
  • Experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
