Position Summary
Store manager responsible for leading and developing teams, overseeing store operations, driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, fostering customer service excellence, and promoting a culture of belonging.
What you'll do- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
- Advance store operations through technology, merchandising, and company initiatives.
- Implement and communicate business objectives, manage expectations, and provide guidance.
- Model exceptional customer service and address customer needs, complaints, and issues.
- Drive financial performance by reviewing profit‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
- Maintain effective merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes.
- Hire, train, mentor, and recognize associates; promote a belonging mindset.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, the Open Door Policy, and ethical standards.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
- Embrace and model Walmart values such as integrity, customer focus, and excellence.
- 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Successfully complete required job‑training and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- For firearms related locations, completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For ammunition only locations, confirmation of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
- Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
