Universal Industries, Inc. is looking for experienced welders to work in our fast‑paced sheet metal manufacturing environment. This position involves welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material based on pre‑designed blueprints.
Earn up to $27.00/hour—dependent on experience!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Weld metal components of products.
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
- Perform electric arc welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and galvanized material.
- Operate manufacturing computer system for shop orders and time‑card data entry.
- Operate LP and/or electric forklift to gather parts and deliver finished weldments, when necessary.
- Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture.
- Tack assemblies together.
- Weld test required.
- Ability to MIG weld.
- Experience with TIG welding a plus.
- Pre‑employment drug screen required.
- Must lift 20 to 75 lbs.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
- High school diploma or GED.
