Love INC of the Cedar Valley is entering an exciting season of leadership transition as our current Executive Director moves into part-time retirement after faithful service to the ministry and community. To support the success of the next leader, a 4-6 week transition period will allow the selected Executive Director to work alongside the current Executive Director, gaining valuable organizational knowledge, building key relationships, and ensuring a seamless continuation of the mission and vision of Love INC.
This presents a unique opportunity to step into an established, respected ministry while receiving intentional
guidance during the transition.
Love In the Name of Christ of the Cedar Valley is a local nonprofit organization composed of a group of local partner Christian churches. These partner churches are dedicated to mobilizing themselves and future partner churches to help local people in need.
Love INC is seeking an experienced professional to give direction, leadership, and oversight toward the achievement of the vision, mission, and model of Love In the Name of Christ; develop, implement, and manage the strategic goals and objectives of Love INC; and ensure that the affiliate operates according to Love INC National best practices.
Duties include casting the vision for Love INC in the community and representing Love INC’s mission and core values; cultivating and nurturing relationships with pastors and churches, church staff, volunteers, donors, area agencies and local businesses; overseeing ministry programs, plans and initiatives; overseeing office administration and operations; managing staff and volunteers; participating in the development and implementation of the annual budget and fundraising plans;
and supporting the Board of Directors.
Love INC is seeking an individual with the following skills and qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in management, social work, organizational leadership, ministry, community development, or related field.
- A minimum of three to five years leadership experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong team player and able to work with a variety of people, but also possess the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience supervising paid staff and volunteers.
- Ability to teach and influence others required.
- Able to handle multiple priorities effectively and under pressure.
- Commitment to the Christian Church and its mandate to serve people with needs to effect transformation.
