Plasma Center Nurse- LPN

Job Description

Plasma Center Nurse / Medical Support Specialist at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and referral to emergency care when necessary.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on donor safety, medical or technical issues, and unacceptable findings.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements in occupational health or emergency response.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community.

• High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Licensed or currently certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completed FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
