Surgery Registered Nurse- RN

Position Purpose

Our Cedar Falls Surgery Department has 3 Operating Rooms. We perform a variety of cases with an emphasis on orthopedics, ophthalmology, and bariatrics. Our nurses scrub, circulate, and assist. The operating room now features the Mako robot.

Full time

Day Shift

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care of patients.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by LPNs and PCAs.
• Facilitate communication with physicians, families, and other team members.

• .8 FTE, 32 hours per week
• Monday – Friday
• Varying start and end times, primarily 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, but can flex based on the surgical schedule
• 5–6 after‑shift call rotations in a 6‑week schedule (after shift to 5:00 pm)
• Must be within 30 minutes during call rotation
• No holidays
• No weekends

• Current Iowa RN license
• BSN preferred
• No previous experience required
