Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Full‑time position located in Cedar Falls, IA, USA. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician to support plasma center operations.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility and manage donor adverse events.
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Assess donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluation with occupational health.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations related to pandemic threats.
- Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidance.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including state‑approved nursing program graduate.
- Licensed as LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑required basic IV therapy certification.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

U.S. hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68, varying by qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. All wages comply with state and local minimum wage requirements.
