Job Overview
Bio Life offers a part‑time plasma donor screener position designed for individuals seeking flexible hours and valuable experience. The role focuses on greeting donors, conducting donor screenings, and performing phlebotomy to support plasma collection operations. Shifts are 4–6 hours long, 3 or more days per week, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility for both employer and employee.
Responsibilities- Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring donor and team safety.
- Screen new and repeat donors, take and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
- Use the Donor Information System to prepare charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
- Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
- Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of minimum experience in a customer or patient‑facing role.
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
- Capability to lift up to 5 lbs., occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- Compliance with safety protocols, including prolonged glove wear for 90% of tasks due to blood borne pathogen risk.
Starting hourly wage: $16.00 per hour, with consideration for local minimum wage requirements. Eligible for up to 80 hours of sick time and up to 120 hours of paid vacation upon hiring.
