Takeda is recruiting a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support our Plasma Donation Center operations. The role is full‑time with eligibility for a $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results.
- Notify donors of unsuitable test results and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues.
- Follow standard operating procedures for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and transporting donors to emergency care facilities.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and evaluate need for occupational health/ER assessment.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate‑level registered nursing program with state requirements.
- Current licensure or certification in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN).
- Basic IV therapy competence as required by state licensing.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Complete FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

- Location:
USA – Iowa – Cedar Falls. - Hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68 (may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location).
