Security Officer

Location: Cedar Falls, IA, 50613

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday | 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Officer to provide overnight security coverage for commercial property in the Cedar Falls area. This position involves conducting vehicle patrols, performing routine property inspections, and helping protect client assets during non-business hours.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, observant, and capable of working independently while maintaining consistent patrol activity throughout the shift.

• Operate a patrol vehicle to conduct scheduled security rounds
• Perform hourly property inspections and document patrol activity
• Check building exteriors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations
• Monitor for unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, vandalism, or property damage
• Help discourage criminal activity through a visible security presence
• Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or security risks to the appropriate contacts
• Respond to onsite situations according to established procedures
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding significant events or concerns
• Follow all client instructions, post orders, and company policies

• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle during overnight patrol assignments
• Strong observation and situational awareness skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift

• Previous experience in security, patrol, loss prevention, or related work
• Experience working overnight shifts
• Familiarity with incident reporting and documentation procedures
• Customer service or public interaction experience

• Commercial property setting
• Primarily vehicle-based patrol work with periodic walking inspections
• Outdoor work required in varied weather conditions
• Independent work environment with routine patrol responsibilities
• Overnight schedule requiring sustained attention to detail
