Simple Mining is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and improvement of electrical and facility infrastructure across multiple Iowa locations.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in industrial maintenance, commercial electrical work, manufacturing maintenance, facilities maintenance, utilities, or similar hands‑on environments.
If you have experience troubleshooting three‑phase electrical systems, motors, VFDs, facility equipment, and industrial infrastructure, we'd like to talk with you.
This is a hands‑on role focused on electrical maintenance, facility reliability, preventative maintenance, and infrastructure improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as an industrial maintenance technician, maintenance mechanic, facilities technician, manufacturing maintenance technician, or electrician who wants greater variety and ownership in their day‑to‑day work.
What You’ll Be Doing Electrical Maintenance & Infrastructure Support- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Perform maintenance on three‑phase power distribution equipment, breakers, disconnects, VFDs, motors, and related infrastructure.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, one‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and infrastructure inspections.
- Support facility upgrades, electrical projects, and reliability improvements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Work alongside electrical contractors, utility providers, and vendors during installation and maintenance projects.
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, exhaust systems, doors, and general building infrastructure.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify issues before they impact operations.
- Support facility expansion projects, deployments, and infrastructure improvements.
- Respond to maintenance requests and operational issues across company locations.
- Follow OSHA standards, company safety policies, and safe work practices.
- Utilize proper PPE and maintain a safety‑first mindset.
- Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, and operational risks.
- Participate in safety training, meetings, and emergency response activities.
Occasional travel between company locations to support maintenance projects, equipment moves, and facility improvements.

- Working knowledge of three‑phase electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving abilities.
