Position Summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Cedar Falls, IA. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a rewarding driving career.

• Solo Mile Pay: $0.56 per mile with 2,500 miles per week
• Solo Stop Pay: $13.00 per stop with 7 stops per week

• Start Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (subject to scheduling)

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle, complying with safety & DOT regulations.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load and unload freight, or assist with freight handling as required.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT Physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide an appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have verifiable Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; a road test; and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.

• Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days.
• 80 hours PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use or get paid).
• Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided.
• Drivers have decision‑making authority regarding safety.
• 401(k) rollover available now, with company match at 1 year.
