For over 85 years, Martin Bros. Distributing has been proud to be the largest independent, family owned, full-line food service distributor serving customers throughout the upper Midwest. We are currently hiring for positions within the Distribution Center.
The Receiver/Breaker is responsible for safely unloading, inspecting, breaking down, and staging inbound product within the warehouse. This role supports efficient warehouse flow by ensuring incoming freight is accurately received, properly organized, and delivered to the appropriate departments. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (end time may vary).
Key Responsibilities- Unload inbound freight safely and accurately
- Inspect incoming products for quality, quantity, and expiration dates
- Break down product to required tie/high standards
- Stage and shuttle product to designated departments using pallet jacks
- Scan UPCs, verify counts, tag products, and enter data accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks) per safety guidelines
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and work collaboratively with team members

- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively
- Comfortable operating warehouse equipment and working independently
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (standing, lifting, bending, repetitive motions)
- Able to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 150 lbs.) and work in varied warehouse conditions (hot, cold, dusty, noisy)
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check upon job offer
