Our Client is seeking Resource/Inclusion Special Education Teachers (elementary & middle school) in the Cedar Hill, TX area and multiple neighboring campuses for the upcoming school year.

Client Hours/Compensation
Part-time and full-time available; 7:30am–4:30pm
Up to $50 per hour, depending on qualifications

• Provide instruction in the core curriculum and special education area(s) for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.
• Develop and implement innovative methods for providing instruction to special education students.
• Maintain a suitable instructional environment for special education students according to their needs; ensure that equipment is modified and materials adapted as necessary.
• Participate with other special education staff to evaluate the special education needs of a student and to develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP); implement these plans in accordance with state and federal requirements and district practice.
• Maintain student records in compliance with due process requirements.
• Evaluate student performance and promote student achievement; report progress toward IEP goals to parents, principals, and Special Education administration as prescribed or authorized.
• Maintain contact with parents of special education students and collaborate on the student’s academic development to meet IEP/IFSP objectives; participate in parent-teacher conferences.
• Perform classroom management duties and enforce school conduct rules; take appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree;
  Master’s degree preferred
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for the subject and level assigned preferred
• Enrollment in an alternative certification program preferred (if not already certified)
• Pre-K, ESL, & Special Education certification required
• Teaching experience: 1 year;
  Special Education experience: 1 year
• License/Certification:
  Teaching Certification (Required);
  Special Education Certification (Required)
