Flute or Saxophone Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Flute or Saxophone Teacher to deliver high-quality private lessons in our in-store studio. You will teach students of all ages and abilities, building skills in tone, technique, reading, and musical expression while fostering a positive, student-centered environment. Responsibilities include planning and tailoring lessons, tracking progress, communicating with parents, and preparing students for recitals, auditions, and school performances.

You'll collaborate with store staff to support enrollment and embody our mission of expanding access to music education in a friendly, inclusive retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one flute and saxophone lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans focused on technique, reading, and musicality
• Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to support goals and school programs
• Communicate with parents and guardians about progress, expectations, and practice
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive in-store studio environment
• Coordinate schedules and manage attendance and make-up lessons
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and retention
• Follow Music & Arts policies, procedures, and teaching standards
• Support the company's student-focused, community-minded culture
