Brass Teacher

Music and Arts is seeking a Brass Teacher for our retail store, combining music education with a mission-driven retail environment. In this role, you will provide private and small-group brass lessons to students of all ages and abilities, helping them build strong fundamentals, technique, and musicality. You will design personalized lesson plans, track progress, and prepare students for performances, auditions, and school ensembles.

Working in a collaborative, student-focused culture, you will partner with store staff to support local music programs, recommend instruments and accessories, and contribute to recitals and community events while fostering an inclusive, inspiring learning space.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality private and small-group brass lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals aligned with student and parent expectations.
• Assess student progress and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about progress, practice expectations, and goals.
• Support store initiatives by promoting lessons, events, and related products to students and families.
• Collaborate with store staff and school service representatives to support local music education programs.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and motivational learning environment in lesson studios and classrooms.
• Advise students on instrument care, accessories, and upgrade options to improve performance.
• Accurately manage schedules, attendance, and student records in store systems.
• Participate in occasional recitals, workshops, and community outreach events hosted by Music & Arts.
