- Lateral Officer may qualify for a modified process and starting pay at $90,343.

- Academy / Non-Certified Starting Salary $73,014/year
- Certified/Experienced Salary Range:
- Year 1 - $80,269 (after graduation from the academy)
- Year 2 - $82,677
- Year 3 - $85,157
- Year 4 - $87,712
- Year 5 - $90,343
- Year 6 - $103,496
- Lateral appointments begin at up to $90,343/year, based on experience.
- At least one year of full-time, paid peace officer experience beyond that agency's field training program - within the past 24 months of being hired by this department for a Police Officer position. (includes hospital, college/university, and ISD police)
- No pending disciplinary actions or investigations for misconduct/criminal activity
- Out-of-State officers must be TCOLE certified by the time of job acceptance.
- The Chief of Police or designee will make the final determination about whether an applicant meets eligibility standards.
- Education pay up to $1,200/year
- Specialized position pay up to $2,400/year
- Certificate Pay:
- Intermediate - $600/year
- Advanced – $900/year
- Master - $1,200/year
- Relocation Assistance – Up to $1,500 for certified officers
