Position Overview

As a Quality In-Process Inspector, you will ensure maintenance is performed to strict safety and airworthiness standards by conducting inspections at various stages and reviewing records. You will also verify compliance with regulations and company procedures by checking components, materials, and workmanship throughout the production or repair process. This role involves performing visual inspections, using precision measuring tools, documenting findings, and ensuring parts are correctly finished and configured.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily in‑process continuity inspections of repairs and repaired components.
  • Inspect components for proper assembly, ensuring repair techniques and data requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for documentation of repairs that exceed repair data.
  • Use and interpret manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and engineering drawings.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment such as electronic ohm meters, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and torque wrenches.
  • Ensure proper inspection records, continuity sheets, temperature cure reports, and return‑to‑service forms are executed from receiving inspection through to in‑process and before return to service.
  • Create additional discrepancy reports found during inspections.
  • Enter data into computer systems.
  • Monitor and perform inspection requests made by Maintenance Technicians.
  • Research a variety of ICA data.
  • Communicate quality occurrences with other Inspectors and Supervisors.
Education & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport (ideal but not mandatory).
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience relevant to FAA 145 Repair Station aircraft/component sheet metal structural, metal‑to‑metal and composite bonding repair maintenance/inspections.
  • Experience navigating maintenance recording systems such as Corridor.
  • Experience accessing Aviation OEM data portals and using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal company networking file systems.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to attend work daily, including overtime and weekend assignments.
  • Strict adherence to FAA guidelines, company safety rules, and customer‑oriented work habits.
Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Routine sitting, standing, walking; lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.
  • Work with others in a professional manner.
Working Conditions

The majority of work will be accomplished in a heated hangar or shop area, with varied positions around components.
