Position Objective
The Sales Lead supports Management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture, ensuring excellent customer experience and maximum profitability.
Functional Responsibilities- Drive for Results – Establishes and communicates clear expectations, holding store team and themselves accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Performs and oversees basic operational activities such as opening and closing duties and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervises associates in sales, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer services; utilizes weekly schedules for proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines; maintains knowledge of current promotions and presents merchandise accordingly.
- Maintains standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and all other duties directed by Management.
- Develops a high-performance culture and motivates the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals; achieves personal sales goals.
- Trains and coaches sales staff to be fluent in all aspects of product knowledge online and in store.
- Trains, coaches and assists with locating fulfillment and selling.
- Build High Performing Teams – Motivates and inspires store team, promotes a shared vision, models core values, and encourages inclusive, collaborative problem solving.
- Communicates with store teams and Store Management to lead positive change and share feedback to build leadership skills.
- Customer Experience – Models, teaches, and promotes the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni‑channel experience; recommends merchandise selections or helps locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs; builds solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing; ensures prompt resolution of customer concerns and a fast register experience; maintains consistent client communication via customer book, rewards program, and customer capture sign‑up.
- Talent – Supports and implements training programs; interprets KPI reports, provides coaching, and offers feedback for associate performance evaluations; recognizes and rewards outstanding performance; ensures adherence to all employment practices and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1+ year retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Regular attendance essential; flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays required.
- Constant walking/standing – 67-100% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs – 1-33% of an 8‑hour shift.
- Frequent climbing – 34-66% of an 8‑hour shift.
