Job Description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.

Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.

Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts.

Clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.

Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.

Reinforce safety protocols, report unsafe conditions, and comply with food safety regulations.

Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.

Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Customer Service skills
Effective communication skills

Retail experience preferred but not required
