Tractor Trailer Driver – Cedar Hill, Cedar Hill, TX, 75014

The purpose of the Tractor Trailer Driver position is to transport, deliver and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment and to support the needs of the branch in a professional, safe and timely manner. The driver operates both commercial and non‑commercial vehicles efficiently and safely, maintaining a high standard of quality within the branch and beyond.

• Transport, deliver and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment
• Operate commercial or non‑commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient and professional manner
• Promote professionalism and excellent customer service attitude
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after pickups and deliveries
• Maintain all delivery documents and logs accurately for inspection by management or state traffic safety officers
• Maneuver vehicles at various speeds in difficult locations, heavy traffic, inclement weather, mountainous terrain, or tight loading dock areas
• Secure equipment by chaining, strapping and blocking in strict accordance with DOT policies
• Communicate regularly with the Branch Manager and/or central dispatch regarding delivery schedules
• Observe safety rules and regulations at customer job sites and company facilities
• Provide training assistance to customers on the safe operations of vehicles, tools or machinery when asked
• Report any damage to company property, accidents or other incidents to the Branch Manager or central dispatcher immediately
• Report delays due to breakdowns, weather, traffic or other problems that may affect timely pickups or deliveries
• Maintain flexibility in daily routine to meet customer demands and management requests
• Ensure proper paperwork and logs are maintained accurately on a daily basis

• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to operate large, heavy machinery
• Ability to secure loads safely
• Customer‑service orientation

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of tractor‑trailer driving experience within the last three years
• Commercial Driver's License, Class A, with tanker endorsement
• Current medical card
• Hazmat endorsement to be obtained within 120 days of employment (assistance provided)

Pay range: $30.00–$34.00 per hour.
