Job Description

Northwest School of Music seeks a fun and professional part-time staff member to help administer our music school in Northwest Austin, TX. This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure the smooth functioning of our day‑to‑day operations.

The hours for this position are Thursdays and Fridays 5pm - 8pm.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Greeting students arriving for lessons and ensuring that teachers stay on schedule
  • Responding to scheduling‑related phone calls and emails from students and families
  • Interfacing with teachers to help them manage their student schedules
  • General administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications

The successful candidate will be an organized, motivated self‑starter with a strong customer service mindset. A demonstrated interest in music and music education would be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay will be commensurate with experience, in the range of $15–$17 per hour. A 401(k) program with employer matching is available to all employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part‑ and full‑time employees at Ensemble.

Northwest School of Music offers private, weekly music lessons in a clean, safe, fun and family‑oriented environment. Since 2004, we have taught thousands of students from Austin, Cedar Park and Central Texas. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff of university‑degree music instructors teach lessons in guitar (acoustic and electric), piano, electric bass guitar, drums, voice, violin, and ukulele. We offer each student an inspiring learning environment in a community that fosters love and appreciation for music.
