Within our M/D Totco Surface Engineering team, Electrical Engineers play a vital role in developing advanced measurement devices, data acquisition, and control systems that enable our customers to enhance operational efficiency.

This position offers a dynamic environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and teamwork. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take ideas from concept through production and support throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development:
    Design, simulate, and test analog and digital circuits
  • PCB Design:
    Create PCB layouts using Altium (or similar software) and validate designs through laboratory testing.
  • Firmware & Embedded Systems:
    Write, test, and debug firmware for embedded control and data acquisition systems.
  • Field Testing:
    Participate in design validation and testing at field test locations.
  • Project Support:
    Collaborate with project managers to plan tasks, estimate timelines, and document technical work.
  • Sustaining Engineering:
    Provide ongoing support for industrial sensors, gas detection, and control systems.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure designs meet Hazardous locations, EMC, and other safety and regulatory standards.
  • Innovation:
    Research and evaluate emerging technologies
Qualifications and Competencies

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Experience with PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer.
  • Hands-on experience using measurement equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).
  • Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent time management and communication abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience with firmware development and real-time programming (C/C++, embedded systems).
  • Knowledge of sensor technologies and signal conditioning.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and JIRA.
  • Experience designing electronics to meet UL, EMC, and other industry standards.
