Commercial Lender

A relationship-driven community bank with a long-standing presence in Texas is seeking a Commercial Lender to support continued growth within its commercial banking division. The organization is known for delivering personalized banking solutions, responsive service, and strong community relationships while offering the capabilities and resources of a larger financial institution.

The Commercial Lender will focus on developing and managing commercial banking relationships, structuring tailored lending solutions, and maintaining strong portfolio performance while supporting the financial goals of local businesses and clients.

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial lending relationships
• Originate and structure commercial loan opportunities tailored to client needs
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to evaluate creditworthiness
• Process and underwrite commercial loan requests in accordance with bank policies and regulatory standards
• Manage and grow commercial credit portfolios while maintaining strong asset quality
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and communication
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, lending policies, and internal procedures
• Collaborate with clients to understand financing needs and provide customized lending solutions
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding lending opportunities and financial goals
• Participate in business development and community engagement activities

• Previous commercial lending experience within a banking environment highly preferred
• Strong underwriting and financial analysis expertise
• Experience managing commercial loan and credit portfolios
• Knowledge of SBA lending processes and guidelines
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities
• Solid understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
