Relationship Banker

• Minimum 6 months of financial institution, banking, or credit union operations experience supporting customers in person or over the phone.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service required, and 6 months of cash-handling preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills and proficiency in using common office applications and office equipment.
• Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management skills include prioritizing multiple responsibilities and organizing work tasks.
• Experience in controlling negotiable instruments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high attention to detail.
• Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
• Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
• Flexibility to work branch hours, including Saturdays.

The Relationship Banker serves as the welcoming face of Velocity Credit Union and plays a critical role in building member trust and engagement. This position blends traditional teller responsibilities with foundational banker skills, focusing on creating exceptional experiences through meaningful interactions and personalized service.
