Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company on a mission to reliably and repeatedly launch, land, and operate space systems from Earth to the Moon and beyond. As the partner of choice for critical space missions, Firefly is the first commercial company to launch a satellite to orbit with 24-hour notice and the first company to achieve a successful Moon landing.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Investor Relations Analyst to join our Cedar Park, Texas team. As an IR Analyst, you will have hands-on experience in the process of driving shareholder value by supporting quarterly earnings, financial modeling, developing shareholder communications, managing investor events and tours, and monitoring investor engagement.

You will need to apply analytical rigor, capital-markets fluency, and a strategic understanding of the space economy to every day of your work. You will interface with institutional and retail investors, research analysts, investment bankers, senior executives, and more while positioning the company’s achievements and growth trajectory.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support investor communications, messaging, and presentations, as well as manage events and facility site visits for current and potential shareholders.
  • Prepare materials for earnings calls, investor presentations, roadshows, and conferences.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models that measure internal performance against Wall Street expectations, with an understanding of analyst valuation methods to identify and resolve issues that require attention.
  • Support relationships with sell-side equity research analysts, buy-side institutional investors, and investment banking partners, serving as a key and readily available point of contact.
  • Monitor developments and announcements from space sector peers, particularly with a focus on using artificial intelligence-driven tools for efficient analysis, and prepare reports for management regarding key changes identified from commentary, press releases, events, and securities filings.
  • Track and synthesize analyst research, investor feedback, and market sentiment to refine messaging and identify gaps in market understanding.
  • Analyze technical trading data to identify driving functions and measure outcomes from capital markets activity to inform company leadership.
  • Proactively identify and resolve gaps in market understanding through targeted outreach and strategic messaging refinement.
  • Collaborate with the adjacent corporate functions to ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling messaging across all channels.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial services – particularly supporting Aerospace & Defense, Industrials, or Technology sectors – such as from investment banking, private equity, equity research, or corporate finance.
  • Public company IR experience such as direct experience managing earnings cycles, regulatory filings, and institutional investor relationships.
  • Demonstrated strength in financial modeling and experience rapidly synthesizing complex information into a clear investment thesis, with incontrovertible knowledge of financial statements, securities filings, valuation metrics, and capital markets.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, highly technical environment while maintaining quality work.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to think critically and write clearly with attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting to both large audiences and top decision-makers.
  • AI/ML tool fluency:
Experience leveraging generative artificial intelligence for competitive intelligence and market monitoring.
  • Foundational knowledge about the commercial space ecosystem and intellectual curiosity about the launch and spacecraft markets.
