Staff Therapist - LPC, LMFT, LCSW (open to LPC-A, LMSW) Qualifications

  • Current TBHEC license in Texas (LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Desire to work in individual and group settings with teens, adults, and couples experiencing trauma, anxiety, and depression
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and provide a mix of telehealth and face-to-face sessions in Cedar Park, Texas
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills - ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, through email, and in person in a professional manner
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Treatment modalities include: CBT, EFT, and CPT, EMDR
  • Availability for either part-time or full-time work. Full time = 40/wk (average 25 client‑facing hours expected after three months)
  • Evenings and weekends - flexible schedule options to be discussed. We work with teens and working adults who need access to care outside of school and work hours.

    Negotiable based on experience and qualifications. This is a W-2/hourly position, not a fee‑split arrangement.

Responsibilities
  • Performs accurate and comprehensive assessments of individuals
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders through evidence-based practices
  • Develops, prepares, and maintains individualized client care plans and goals in accordance with client goals for therapy
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of progress based on treatment plan goals and review/update treatment plans per policy
  • Begin discharge planning with initial treatment plan creation
  • Performs crisis intervention as needed
  • Identify safety concerns with clients and families and take appropriate action to ensure a safety plan is created and implemented
  • Facilitate/lead CBT and process groups
  • Consult with other professional caregivers as appropriate to ensure continuity of care; facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
  • Coordinate parent sessions as appropriate with teen clients
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation per policy
  • Participates in the quality improvement activities

    Participates in marketing and networking efforts

    Attends and participates in clinical meetings
  • Observe confidentiality requirements
  • Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards

Description

Our ideal therapist is Biblically literate and comfortable treating people of faith wishing to integrate their faith in the therapy process, as well as those clients who do not wish to incorporate faith into their treatment or are non-Christians. Areas of interest and specialization outside of teens, adults, and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma are welcome, but the basis of our practice lies with this population.

Evidence-based treatment modalities will be utilized. This position is paid by shift, not per session, ensuring that you are fairly compensated for all hours worked. When not seeing clients, other practice-related activities will be assigned.

Our collaborative consists of an LCSW and a Registered Nurse with a wide range of clinical, professional, and life experiences.
