Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all vascular and interventional radiology procedures. Communicates and works independently in performing all procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. David's Healthcare Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and standards.

Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal and team contributions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Familiar with the majority of diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • High degree of manual, mental and dexterity skills necessary for operation of equipment and patient care.
  • Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" and "Mission and Value Statement."
  • Capable of applying technical skills to all ages of patients.
  • Assumes accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service
  • Maintains a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary
  • Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient experience
  • Able to work independently
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology - Required
  • 2 years previous diagnostic experience in acute care facility - Preferred

Licensure, Certifications, Training:

  • Registered Technologist with current certification by ARRT (R) and CE compliance
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • BLS
