Your Impact

The General Manager (Pre-Opening) is responsible for leading the successful pre-opening, grand opening, and ongoing operation of the Cedar Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. This role serves as the senior on-property leader, accountable for operational readiness, financial performance, brand compliance, and building a high-performing leadership team.

The General Manager will establish the hotel as a premier full-service and conference destination in the greater Austin metro market while protecting asset value and delivering results for ownership.

  • 297 guest rooms
  • 30,000 square feet of meeting and conference space
  • Approximately 220+ team members at full staffing
  • M Club for Marriott Bonvoy guests
  • Robust Food and Beverage program including:
  • Mare Coastal Mediterranean Dining (Lunch and Dinner)
  • Un Deux Trois Café (Breakfast and Lunch, coffee and French pastries)
  • Rooftop pool deck with bar service, cabanas, and daybeds
  • Elegant Lobby Bar with full food service
  • In-room dining
Your Responsibilities

Pre-Opening Leadership and Execution
  • Lead the full pre-opening lifecycle, including critical path planning and execution across a 12-month runway
  • Develop and manage hiring timelines, budgets, SOPs, training programs, and OS&E readiness
  • Coordinate closely with ownership, development, construction, procurement partners, and Marriott brand teams
  • Ensure readiness and integration of all systems including PMS, POS, sales, and finance platforms
  • Oversee soft-opening planning, service testing, and final operational readiness
Hotel Operations Leadership
  • Provide oversight and leadership across all hotel divisions including Rooms, Food and Beverage, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Conference Services, Finance, Human Resources, and Security
  • Establish standards for guest experience, safety, and operational consistency
  • Serve as a visible, hands-on leader who sets the tone for service excellence
Executive Committee and Talent Leadership
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a strong Executive Committee and leadership team
  • Build a culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and internal development
  • Drive retention, engagement, and leadership bench strength
  • Align staffing strategies with service standards and financial goals
Sales, Conference, and Market Leadership
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to drive group, conference, corporate, and social business
  • Maximize conference and meeting space utilization as a core revenue driver
  • Collaborate with Marriott sales channels for market penetration
  • Lead local marketing, community engagement, and brand positioning efforts
