Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Salary: $ per hour

Schedule:

Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager with executing the general operating maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant. They work to maintain proper operations of the community in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner.

Maintains and repairs the community facilities and systems to ensure safe, clean, and comfortable living environments for residents and families.

• Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
• Follow directions to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
• Perform exterior tasks such as irrigation, tree and vegetation maintenance, pool upkeep (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing as needed.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with external contractors and different levels of technical or professional personnel.
• Ability to communicate with residents and their families.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices.
