Position Summary:
Shermco Industries is seeking a General Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Austin location ($20M/15+ people). Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring smooth processes, and identifying improvement opportunities. The role requires close collaboration with other departments to meet company goals. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with ideally 5 years of engineering experience and 5 years of operations/general management experience, including P&L ownership.

- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to increase productivity.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to align and meet all goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- Ideally 10 years of engineering and management experience, including P&L ownership.
- High level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Business development and customer interfacing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
