Job Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a growing electronics manufacturer in the Cedar Park area to hire a detail-oriented Document Specialist
. This position supports production, engineering, and quality teams by ensuring technical and process documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with internal standards.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating across departments.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00am – 4:00pm
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Develop, update, and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and product‑related materials
- Convert technical specifications into clear, easy‑to‑follow documentation for production use
- Manage document revisions, approvals, and version control within a quality system
- Ensure documents meet company standards and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to gather and verify information
- Remove outdated documents and maintain proper archiving procedures
- Support new product introduction (NPI) documentation needs
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
- Participate in safety and quality programs
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in document control, technical writing, or manufacturing documentation
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications (electrical knowledge is a plus)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and within cross‑functional teams
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Background in electronics or electro‑mechanical assembly
