Position: Nurse Manager (RN)

Overview

Texas Oncology seeks a full‑time Nurse Manager (RN) to support our Cedar Park, Marble Falls, and Leander locations. The role requires Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

This clinic offers a collaborative, high‑performing environment where patient care and team success are top priorities.

Role Overview

In collaboration with the Director of Clinical or Nursing Services, the Nurse Manager provides nursing support for practice locations by consulting and advising clinicians on best practices, implementing education and training programs, and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects. The position oversees nursing leadership and staff, adheres to the US Oncology Network Compliance Program, the Code of Ethics, and Business Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure clinical operations and practice are consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with practice management on operational projects including site Quality Committees, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative site assessments, Advancing Care Information, the Oncology Care Model (OCM), and other special projects.
  • Facilitate the implementation and utilization of outcomes data and evidence‑based practices.
  • Implement standardized best practices within the organization.
  • Ensure practice standards of care align with community standards and incorporate clinical evidence into new and existing standards.
  • Staff Development: assess staffing levels, patient flow, current practices; assist with the development of company‑wide clinical competency testing and skills validation programs.
  • Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics or region; maintain effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs within budgetary parameters; coordinate employee staffing including vacations, sick leave, roster, and overtime.
  • Provide oversight for nurse leads and supervisors as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Minimum five years of active RN practice, including at least three years in oncology.
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

Primarily computer-based work; requires handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 40 lbs, correct vision and hearing to normal range.
