Overview
We are looking for someone who can work between 10-14 hours per week. This position can be a level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience. Texas Oncology is seeking a PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Infusion Department at our Cedar Park location. The clinic operates Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with no weekends, call, or holidays.

Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
- Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Level 1:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred). State RN license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing. 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Level 2 (additional to Level
1): 3-5 years nursing experience. Oncology certification preferred. - Level Sr (additional to Levels 1 &
2):
Five years nursing experience.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye-hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, occasional lifting up to 40 lbs, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
