Position Summary

The Store Manager leads day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team member growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate performance expectations and coach staff to achieve goals.
  • Promote a People First environment with diversity and inclusion, building lasting customer relationships.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experience through training, outreach, and resolution of issues.
  • Achieve sales targets, analyze reports, and develop strategies to maximize personal and team sales.
  • Identify operational improvements, address root causes, and implement initiatives that change behaviors.
  • Collaborate with other store managers to share resources and best practices.
  • Select and develop talent, provide onboarding, coaching, and development in operations, sales, and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, compliance with company policies, and manage profit margins by controlling discounting, expenses, payroll, and repair.
  • Schedule work to cover openings, closings, and coaching, with increased hours during peak periods.
Work Schedule

A five‑day, 40‑hour week during non‑peak periods, with timing based on operating hours, sales requirements, and customer traffic. Hours increase during peak selling periods.

Position Qualifications
  • Education:

    Minimum of two years of college (preferred).
  • Experience:

    At least three years of retail sales experience or two years of retail sales plus one year of retail management; preference for specialty retail or jewelry experience and Diamond Council of America certification.
  • Skills:

    Advanced communication (written and verbal), proficiency in MS Office, strong interpersonal and presentation skills, conflict management, organization, independent work, delegation, and the ability to set priorities.
  • Language:
    Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Physical Demands:
    Regular standing, reaching, moving up to ten pounds, visual acuity for gemstones, and extended hours including weekends and evenings.
