Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

Entry‑level, full‑time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate role at First Cash pawn stores. Responsible for greeting and servicing customers, processing sales and loans, and maintaining a positive customer experience. Salary ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour plus commission and benefits.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of the sales floor.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items securely and accurately.
• Answers inbound calls according to company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a memorable customer experience.
• Completes all required training successfully.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Physically able to perform duties such as standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Willful and able to work with firearms and acquire firearms certification if required.
• Capable of assisting customers outside the store premises.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculation skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
