Job Description

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment to create a welcoming and inclusive experience for all customers. You will collaborate with teammates across sales, cashiering, fitting rooms, stock, and fulfillment to keep the store clean, organized, and ready for shoppers.

• Maintain the sales floor, ensuring it is "runway ready" through re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers at the cashier, operating the point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky or heavy items.
• Provide a smooth fitting room experience: greet and assist customers, sort and return clothing to the floor.
• Keep sale and fit‑room areas clean and clutter‑free by sorting and returning garments.
• Organize stockrooms, check in merchandise, and ensure accurate ticketing.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset‑protection standards and demonstrate proficiency with all store technologies.
• Promote Nordstrom Rewards and other store initiatives.
• Unpack, unload, and deliver freight to selling departments.
• Fulfill and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
• Assist with special events, back‑room organization, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Clear and effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Regular handling of items up to 10lb (sometimes up to 25lb) and, for stock and fulfillment, lifting up to 25lb (occasionally up to 50lb).
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, and operating equipment.

Hourly: $16.40 – $17.10 (varies by location; dependent on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience).
