The Installation Tech performs tasks related to the installation of water heaters, water softeners, water filtration systems, sewer and water service lines and gas lines for residential and/or light commercial customers and is responsible for maintaining customer health, safety and satisfaction.
Job Duties- Installs water heaters, water softeners, water filtration systems, sewer and water service lines and gas lines.
- Is responsible for compliance with all local plumbing codes.
- Maintains accurate documentation of installations including all required forms and photos of work.
- Submits all completed paper work in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and properly stocked service vehicle.
- Wears floor savers while in the client’s home and maintains a neat work area while performing a repair or scheduled service.
- Tests each aspect of the job before leaving a home to make sure everything is working properly. Ensures the job was indeed completed correctly and eliminates unnecessary callbacks after the job is finished.
- Explains each service performed to the client each time a maintenance or repair is completed. Ensures clients are 100% satisfied with all work.
- Conveys a safety-conscious attitude, both on the job and while driving.
- Maintains cleanliness inside and outside of vehicles at all times.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable plumbing experience in residential plumbing installations.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Valid Texas Tradesman or Journeyman's Plumbing License.
- Must be able to work extended hours, and occasional weekends.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
- Must possess all necessary tools to perform installations including but not limited to basic hand tools, drills, saws and torches.
