Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) – Seasonal Temp Full Time

Austin or Cedar Park, TX

Weinstein Properties is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) to join our team for the summer. This is a temporary opportunity at a well‑maintained community with strong leadership and competitive pay.

What We Offer

• Pay: $20.50/hour (or $21.50/hour if EPA certified). These rates are $1.50/hour higher than a permanent position since this temporary position is NOT eligible for benefits/quarterly bonuses.
• Stay Bonus: 3 bonus opportunities – $100 after each successful completion of 30, 60, and 90 days for staying onboard through the summer.

Schedule

• FULL‑TIME: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Optional: Participation in a rotating emergency on‑call schedule with the team (comes with additional bonus).

Responsibilities

• Complete the turn/make‑ready process of vacant apartments.
• Assist the team with maintenance work orders as needed.
• Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis.
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience.
• No HVAC certification or experience required.
• EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands‑on HVAC troubleshooting/repair experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks.

Physical & Technical Requirements

• Reliable transportation.
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work‑order systems, etc.).
• Ability to drive a golf cart.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year‑round.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Background check required.
