The Restoration Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based in Cedar Park, TX, working in the shop to restore and upgrade classic and specialty vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing engine and drivetrain repairs, completing suspension and brake upgrades, and assisting with performance modifications. The role involves collaborating with fabricators and body technicians on comprehensive restoration projects, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring all work meets shop standards for safety and quality.
The Restoration Mechanic will also maintain accurate repair documentation, communicate clearly with the team about project status, and help keep the workspace organized and compliant with shop procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for automotive systems and components.
- Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in Heavy Equipment operation or service relevant to lifts, shop machinery, and tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and performance-related problems.
- Strong knowledge of classic and specialty vehicle systems and restoration processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and build specifications.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in automotive restoration, performance builds, or a related field; vocational training or certifications in automotive technology are beneficial.
