Job Overview

At NOV Cedar Park Manufacturing, we are committed to building a workplace where employees can grow and succeed. This Maintenance Technician role coordinates general maintenance on manufacturing equipment and performs facility‑related maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and production machinery.
  • Perform adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance to detect early failure signs.
  • Communicate with operators, vendors, and maintenance personnel to ensure production readiness.
  • Rebuild machines and overhaul components, dismantling, inspecting, machining, and replacing parts.
  • Use blueprints and specifications; operate hand, power, and precision instruments.
  • Train and assist others; support all facility functions.
  • Comply with NOV Company and HSE policies.
Experience & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years as a Maintenance Technician or related role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; repair of CNC machinery is a plus.
  • Strong HVAC diagnostic and repair experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 120V–480V electrical systems, hydraulics/pneumatics, HVAC, plumbing, welding, and production machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical specs.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to pass drug screen and background check.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Independent, self‑motivated, and safety‑focused team player.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, lift 40–50 lbs, and work around machinery.
  • Must communicate effectively, view screens, read technical documents, and perform repetitive movements up to 12 hours.
  • Manufacturing, industrial maintenance environment; exposure to noise, heat, and moving parts.
  • May require overtime, on‑call support, and flexible scheduling.
