Overview
Our client is a global technology organization that designs and manufactures advanced test and measurement systems used across electronics, automotive, medical, and industrial applications. Their products help ensure compliance, reliability, and performance in environments influenced by electromagnetic, magnetic, and acoustic energy.
They are seeking a seasoned Senior Firmware Engineer with strong embedded and firmware development experience to support new product development and long-term platform sustainability. This is a hands-on role working closely with hardware and software teams in a highly technical, collaborative environment. Initial onsite presence is expected, with a highly flexible hybrid work model available following ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems and microcontroller-based products
- Lead firmware development efforts for new product designs
- Provide technical support and maintenance for released products, including customer-facing troubleshooting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Support sustaining engineering efforts for legacy platforms
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, version control, and product records
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5-10+ years of professional experience in embedded software or firmware development
- Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, and Assembly
- Experience using IDEs and tool chains such as Code Composer, Atmel Studio, Visual Studio, SDS Compiler, and Borland C++
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers including:
- TI ARM Cortex-M4F
- ATmega / AVR
- MSP
430 - PIC
- Motorola architectures
- Familiarity with or exposure to AI-enabled applications or systems is a plus
- $90,000-$110,000+ with flexibility for highly qualified candidates
