Sadler Power Train is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing, multi-location organization. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing the monthly close process, supporting executive leadership with financial reporting, and leading our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality while supporting the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily cash activity and cash flow reporting.
- Review daily accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset depreciation schedules.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Calculate monthly sales commissions.
- Prepare annual 1099 reporting.
- Complete various annual business registrations.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Serve as the primary backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as needed.
- Manage daily timekeeping, including time of requests.
- Identify process improvements and help strengthen internal accounting controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of the complete accounting cycle and how transactions flow through the general ledger.
- Experience preparing financial statements and account reconciliations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Self-starter who can prioritize work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with managers, executives, and employees throughout the organization.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using accounting software/ERP systems.
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools and financial reporting systems.
- Strong overall computer proficiency.
