- Prepare and issue invoices to clients based on project milestones and contractual agreements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and verify billing data, including timesheets, expense reports, and purchase orders, to ensure all charges are legitimate and properly documented.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and answer any client inquiries regarding invoices.
- Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and documentation for audit purposes and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, providing insights into revenue and outstanding invoices to help management make informed decisions.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up with clients on overdue invoices, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Support the development and implementation of billing procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the department.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related financial role, preferably within the construction or project management sectors.
- Proficient in using accounting software, such as Quick Books or similar platforms, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to assess billing data and identify discrepancies or trends that may impact financial reporting.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project management software, such as Procore or similar tools, to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and industry-specific billing practices to better understand project requirements.
- Certification in accounting or finance, such as a Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) or similar credential, to validate expertise in the field.
