Robert Half is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract opportunity with a Cedar Rapids-area employer. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accurate records, and keeping processes running smoothly.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

+ Maintaining and updating financial records

+ Performing bank and account reconciliations

+ Preparing and posting journal entries

+ Assisting with invoicing, billing, and collections activities

+ Supporting month-end close processes

+ Researching and resolving account discrepancies

+ Generating financial reports and spreadsheets as requested

Requirements

What We're Looking For

-Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial support roles

-Understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger functions

-Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Bonus Qualifications

+

Experience with Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or similar accounting software

+ Payroll processing experience

+ Experience supporting small business or corporate accounting functions
