Join Our Team!At Cedar Rapids Smile Center, we believe every great patient experience begins with a warm welcome. We're looking for a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Patient Coordinator to be the first smile our patients see and the last one they remember.
As a Patient Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience by managing the front office, coordinating schedules, communicating with patients, and ensuring the day runs smoothly. What You’ll Do- Welcome patients and provide an outstanding first impression
- Answer phones, texts, emails, and other patient communications
- Schedule hygiene, restorative, emergency, and new patient appointments
- Check patients in and out while collecting payments and updating records
- Present and coordinate treatment plans
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with financial options
- Coordinate referrals to specialty offices
- Help maintain a productive, full schedule by filling cancellations
- Prepare daily schedules and assist with morning huddles
- Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation
- Support teammates and assist with administrative projects as needed
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a genuine desire to help others
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable learning new technology and dental software
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Dental office or healthcare experience preferred, but we’re willing to train the right candidate
- Knowledge of Dentrix, Modento/Engagement, insurance, and HIPAA is a plus
