About the Opportunity

McGrath Buick GMC is seeking a motivated and dependable Lube Technician to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in oil changes, tire service, automotive maintenance, quick lube, express service, or general mechanical work who wants to continue developing their skills in a dealership environment.

As a Lube Technician, you'll focus on preventative maintenance and light automotive service while working alongside experienced Automotive Technicians and Certified Technicians. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience with opportunities to expand your skills and advance into higher-level technician positions.

Whether your experience comes from a dealership, independent repair shop, tire shop, quick-lube facility, or automotive service center, we want to hear from you.

Requirements
  • Previous Lube Technician, Oil Change Technician, Tire Technician, Express Technician, automotive maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and preventative maintenance services
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning
  • Ability to safely use automotive tools and service equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
  • Team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist other technicians
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
What You'll Do
  • Perform oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and preventative maintenance services
  • Check and replenish vehicle fluids and inspect tire pressure and condition
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, wiper blades, bulbs, and other basic maintenance components
  • Assist with tire installation, balancing, and basic tire service as needed
  • Communicate vehicle concerns and recommended maintenance to Service Advisors
  • Work alongside experienced Automotive Technicians while continuing to develop your mechanical skills
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service bay
  • Follow dealership and manufacturer procedures for vehicle maintenance and repair
